Terry Gilliam working on Mr. Vertigo script
The L.A. Times noted that renowned filmmaker Terry Gilliam is working on an adaptation of Paul Auster’s Mr. Vertigo. As the Times points out, Gilliam’s films include the book-to-screen adaptations “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.”
Mr. Vertigo tells the story of Walt the Wonder Boy, a St. Louis orphan taught to walk on air by the mysterious Master Yehudi. Set in the late 1920s, the novel follows their vaudeville act across America and, eventually, into Walt’s old age.
